NEET-UG is usually conducted by the NTA on the first Sunday of May. The exact NEET 2027 date will be confirmed in the official NTA notification, which typically releases a few months before the exam.

NEET is a single paper of 180 multiple-choice questions — Physics (45), Chemistry (45), Botany (45) and Zoology (45) — to be answered in 180 minutes. Each correct answer earns +4 marks, each wrong answer loses 1 mark, and the paper totals 720 marks.

Candidates must have passed (or be appearing in) Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, with the minimum aggregate in PCB required for their category (50% general, 40% SC/ST/OBC, 45% PwD). Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of 31 December of the admission year.
