Are NCERT books sufficient for NEET preparation?

Asked by Sangeeta Deshpande · 2 years ago

I have been studying NCERT books for NEET. Are these books sufficient to score well in the exam, or should I refer to other books as well?

1 Answer

NCERT books are essential for NEET preparation as they cover the basics and fundamentals of all the subjects. The majority of the NEET questions are directly or indirectly based on NCERT content, especially for Biology.

However, to score a higher rank, you should also practice additional reference books and question banks. Some recommended books are:

  • Physics: Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma, Objective Physics by D.C. Pandey
  • Chemistry: Physical Chemistry by O.P. Tandon, Organic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd
  • Biology: Trueman's Biology, Objective Biology by Dinesh

Along with these books, practicing previous years' question papers and taking mock tests will greatly enhance your preparation.
