Is viruses living or not?

Viruses are non living outside the host if they enter in the host body then they become living...

Viruses are exception to cell theory. Viruses are connecting link between living and non living entities. They can't be considered as living because they don't have cell machinery. When they enter the host cell then they take over cellular machinery of that host cell and replicate itself

typically viruses are non living but when they enter the host they gets activated and are living therefore its is still a matter of discussion that they are living or non living
