Calculate the mass of 100 He atoms. Ans: 400 x 6.6605 x 10^-24 Doubt: Why are we multiplying by the value and why is the answer not 400 g. Please explain.

Because maybe the answer is not given in amu so you have to multiply by avogadro's number...

Because in question it is asking to find the mass of hundred atom of helium not the one mole of helium and we already know that one mole of helium contains 6 into 10 to power 24 atoms so 6 into 10 to power 24 atoms weights the molecular mass of helium that is 4 gram so for 100 atom it will be 4 upon 6 into 10 to power 24 to the whole multiplied 100 .
