Enthalpy of formation is non zero for...?..(a) H2 (b) O2 (c) Cl2 (d)I2
All elements in their standard states (oxygen gas, solid carbon in the form of graphite, etc.) have a standard enthalpy of formation of zero, as there is no change involved in their formation

Option 4 is correct since all other elements exist as diatomic in their standard stars , hence their enthalpy of formation will be zero unlike for I2 as it doesn't exist as a diatom in its standard state .

Option D as standard enthalpy of formation of oxygen gas,Carbon(graphite),H2 gas,Sulphur(rhombic)=0
