pH = 4, pH = -log[H+] ==> [H+] = 10^-4 M
Remember that pOH = 14-pH so at pH 10, pOH = 14-10 = 4 and
pOH = -log[OH-] ==> [OH-] = 10^-4 M
So, for equivalent volumes and that the [H+] = [OH-], the two will neutralize each other exactly by the following equation:
H+ + OH- → H2O.
All you are left with is water which has a pH of 7
