A block of mass0.1kg is held against Wall by applying a horizontal force of 5 newtans on the block .if the coefficient of friction between the block and the wall is0.5,the magnitude of the friction force acting on the block

0.98 will be answer

Answer is 0.98N. limiting frictional force=0.5×5=2.5N F=N. Now block has tendency to move download so downward force will be mg= 0.1×9.8= 0.98. So as Limiting frictional force is greater than downward force And as you know that it is self adjustable force. So answer will be 0.98N

Friction is a self adjustive force so it's answer will be 1N
