What are the characteristic features of a dorsiventral leaf?

A dorsiventral leaf, as described in NCERT, has the following characteristics:

1. Upper (adaxial) and lower (abaxial) surfaces are distinct
2. Palisade parenchyma is present on the upper side
3. Spongy parenchyma is present on the lower side
4. Stomata are usually more numerous on the lower surface
5. Upper epidermis may have a thicker cuticle than the lower epidermis

This structure is adapted for efficient photosynthesis and gas exchange.
