In a face-centered unit cell with all the lattice positions occupied by A atoms, the body-centered octahedral hole in it is occupied by atom B of appropriate size. For such a crystal, calculate the void space per unit volume of the unit cell. Also, predict the formula of the compound.

the number of atoms of A = 4 as it occupies lattice points in a face-centered unit. And the number of atoms of B = 4 as it occupies octahedral voids in a body-centered unit. So, the formula of the compound will be A4B4
