Products of Light Reaction

The main products of the light reaction in photosynthesis are:

• ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate): A high-energy molecule produced through photophosphorylation
• NADPH (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate): A reduced electron carrier
• Oxygen: Released as a by-product from the splitting of water molecules

These products are then used in the Calvin cycle (dark reaction) to produce glucose.
