What is Progestasert and how does it work?

Progestasert is a type of intrauterine device (IUD) that releases progesterone hormone. It works by thickening cervical mucus, inhibiting sperm movement, and thinning the uterine lining to prevent pregnancy. However, it's important to note that Progestasert is not commonly used now and has been largely replaced by newer IUDs.
