Menstrual cycle starts at the age of puberty in females it occurs every month in a cyclic manner it has three phases 1. Menstrual phase in which endometrium breaks and unfertilised ovum comes out along with blood 2 . Proliferation phases during which endometrium regenerates and LH surge occurs due to high amount LH and FSH 3.leuteal phase during which progesterone level is high and maintain endometrium if sperm will not fertilise ovum then again endometrium breaks and again same process will occur
