Newton's First Law of Motion, also known as the Law of Inertia, states that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force. In simpler terms, this means that if something is not moving, it will not start moving until a force is applied to it. Similarly, if something is moving, it will not stop or change direction until a force causes it to do so.
