Understanding Ohm's Law

Asked by Zainab Fatima · 2 years ago

Can someone explain Ohm's Law and its significance in current electricity for Class 12?

1 Answer

Ohm's Law states that the current through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the voltage across the two points. Mathematically, it is expressed as:

V = IR
where V is the voltage, I is the current, and R is the resistance.

Significance:
1. It helps in understanding the relationship between voltage, current, and resistance.
2. It is fundamental in analyzing electrical circuits.
3. It is used to calculate the resistance of materials and the current flow in circuits.
