Understanding Screw Gauge

Asked by Anjaneyulu M · 2 years ago

What is the least count of a screw gauge and how is it calculated?

1 Answer

The least count of a screw gauge is the smallest measurement that can be accurately read with it. It is calculated by dividing the pitch of the screw by the number of divisions on the circular scale. For example, if the pitch is 1 mm and there are 100 divisions, the least count is 0.01 mm.
