The oleum formula is used to denote the concentration of oleum, which is a solution of sulfur trioxide (SO3) in sulfuric acid (H2SO4). The formula is generally represented as x% SO3 in H2SO4, where x denotes the percentage of free SO3 in the solution. For example, if you have oleum labeled as 20% oleum, it means that there is 20% SO3 in the solution.
