Understanding Uniform and Non-Uniform Motion

Asked by Neeta K · 2 years ago

Can someone explain the difference between uniform and non-uniform motion in a straight line?

1 Answer

Uniform Motion: When an object covers equal distances in equal intervals of time, it is said to be in uniform motion. For example, if a car travels 10 km every hour, its motion is uniform.

Non-Uniform Motion: When an object covers unequal distances in equal intervals of time, it is said to be in non-uniform motion. For example, if a car travels 5 km in the first hour, 15 km in the second hour, and 10 km in the third hour, its motion is non-uniform.
