Can someone explain what a zero order reaction is in simple terms?
A zero order reaction is a type of chemical reaction where the rate of reaction is independent of the concentration of the reactants. This means that no matter how much you increase or decrease the concentration of the reactants, the rate at which the reaction occurs remains the same. Mathematically, it is represented as:
Rate = k
Here, k is the rate constant. In zero order reactions, the rate constant has units of concentration/time (e.g., mol/L/s).
