What is the SI unit of electric flux?

Asked by Soni Singh · 2 years ago

Can someone explain what the SI unit of electric flux is and how it is derived?

1 Answer

The SI unit of electric flux is the volt-meter (V·m). It is derived from the formula for electric flux, which is:

Φ = E · A

Here, Φ is the electric flux, E is the electric field (measured in volts per meter, V/m), and A is the area through which the field lines pass (measured in square meters, m2). Therefore, the unit of electric flux becomes:

V/m × m2 = V·m
